Barnboken – Journal of Children's Literature Research is published by the Swedish Institute for Children's Books with financial support from the Swedish Research Council. Barnboken is Sweden's only scholarly journal focusing on children's and youth literature. Barnboken vol. 42 was founded in 1977 and since 2010 it is an open access e-journal. All articles published since 2005 are available to read and download free of charge at www.barnboken.net.

All articles are peer reviewed. The main language is Swedish but we also welcome articles written in English, Norwegian and Danish. Abstract/articles can be submitted throughout the year. Please see the Barnboken website for more information.
